UPDASP was launched with the objective of introducing the element of diversification in traditional agricultural patterns. It's coverage is continuously expanding yet a vast area is still outside it's approach.
After the successful implementation of DASP Phase-I (funded by World Bank) and Phase-II (funded by RKVY), the State Government through its vide G.O. No. 839/le/-73-2014 dated 16.06.2014 nominated PCU, UPDASP as Nodal Agency for agriculture diversification in the State.
In this context a project-"Western Uttar Pradesh Crop Diversification Plan" was sanctioned by the Central Government & its implementation & Monitoring is carried out by the Project Coordination Unit (PCU), UPDASP, Lucknow.
Our strategy has worked wonders wherever it has been in operation. The need of agricultural diversification is much more than what could be offered through institutional mechanisms. This website is an effort in the same direction.
