UPDASP was launched with the objective of introducing element of diversification in traditional Agricultural patterns; its coverage is continuously expanding, yet a vast area is still outside its approach.
After the successful implementation of DASP Phase-I (funded by World Bank) and Phase-II (funded by RKVY), the State Government through its vide G.O. No. 839/le/-73-2014 dated 16.06.2014 nominated PCU, UPDASP as Nodal Agency for agriculture diversification in the State.
In this context a project-"Western Uttar Pradesh Crop Diversification Plan" was sanctioned by the Central Government & its implementation & Monitoring is carried out by the Project Coordination Unit (PCU), UPDASP, Lucknow.
Our strategy has worked wonders wherever it has been in operation. The need of diversification is much more than what can be offered through institutional mechanisms. This website is an effort in the same directions.
